Cremant De Bourgogne Brut - Trenel

Cremant de Bourgogne Brut – Trenel is a sparkling wine from Maison Trenel, one of the oldest in the Macon region of Burgundy. The appellation Cremant de Bourgogne was created in 1975 for sparkling wines made only with the traditional method, the same they used in the Champagne region, and covers the entire Burgundy region, from Chablis to Lyon. Cremant can also be found in other regions such as the Loire Valley, Alsace, Jura, Bordeaux, Limoux, Die, Savoie regions but also outside of France such as Luxembourg and Belgium!

The varieties that participate in the blend of Cremant de Bourgogne Brut – Trenel are mainly Chardonnay, Pinot Noir but also in smaller proportions Aligote and Gamay. The harvest is manual and the average age of the vines is 25 years old. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and then the wine is bottled for the second fermentation in the bottle and remains for at least 15 months “sur lattes” (the way champagnes are stored during the second fermentation and maturation in the bottle).

Its color is golden with fine, persistent bubbles. Aromas of green apple, pear and lemon zest, framed by notes of autolysis (dough) such as toasted brioche, hazelnut and white flowers. In the mouth it is round and complex with aromas of white flowers, fruits, nuts and notes of acacia. Long lasting aftertaste.

A gastronomic and excellent value for money sparkling wine.

Ideal as an aperitif, but you can also pair it excellently with seafood, fried fish, white meat and hard cheeses.
