Allomi - Hess Persson Estates is an incredible Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley and the special Allomi vineyard. We call it special because in this particular vineyard there are 35 different blocks with 6 different clones of the variety which in combination with the well-drained clay-loam soils and the constant temperature offer us complexity and variety of aromas in the final result.
Cabernet Sauvignon has the largest percentage of the blend and is followed by Petit Syrah (10%), Merlot (2%), Petit Verdot (2%) and Malbec (1%). Only the best grapes participate in the alcoholic fermentation and after the end the wine remains for 18 months in American barrels, with 30% being new.
The result is a balanced, rich wine with aromas of plum, sour cherry, currant, anise, sweet spices and cedar. Well-integrated tannins, velvety feel, with ripe, juicy fruits in the mouth, notes of chocolate and vanilla. Long aftertaste.
