The Gérard Boulay Sancerre "La Côte" 2022 is an iconic and intensely mineral Sauvignon Blanc from the slopes of Chavignol in the Loire Valley. The wine comes from mature vines (around 40 years old) planted on pure Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Gérard Boulay farms his 8 hectares organically and is known for producing Sancerres of profound depth and precision. 

The 2022 vintage is considered extremely good in the Loire Valley. This wine displays a bright pale-yellow color. The nose is complex and vibrant, offering aromas in the orange/bergamot spectrum and crystalline passionfruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with a sinewy structure, mouth-watering acidity, and a distinctly saline, chalk-licked finish that promises great aging potential.
